Zander's scarf (and Zarana's matching shirt)

Now that it's been discovered in Ron Rudat's concept art for Zandar, the twins' scarf and shirt were always meant to match to give them unity.

Is Zander's scarf a piece of his twin sister's ripped shirt?

Are they coordinating with each other instead/too?

Why does Zandar wear a scarf that matches Zarana's shirt?

Zarana decided her abs deserve to be shown off so she rips her shirt. Zander decides "why let a perfectly good scrap of pink shirt that smells like my sis go to waste? Boom...scarf"

They both look poor. If they are relatives maybe they shared cause they didn't want the other to suffer.

If they were always meant to match and be given unity, maybe Zandar just wanted a little pink on him and not too much pink? Who can say for sure?

I think it’s a metaphor: they were ripped apart at birth but they have been rejoined in the postnatal universe. Zarana’s umbilical cord once wrapped around her brother’s neck in the womb like some uterine scarf.

My honest answer is that toy manufacturers are always looking for ways to save a few cents here or there during production.

These figures share some parts (upper arms) and were made from the same batch of ultra-secret color-change plastic, so it's only natural for them to share the same paint apps as well.

The reason his scarf is the same exact shade of pink as her top is because the factory used the same paint for both in order to save money, and the figures were designed to have colors in common so kids could see them side by side and understand that they are siblings.

I honestly believe that's all there ever was to it.

Now if you like to believe that it's supposed to represent the same actual piece of fabric....sure, why not? You can make up any story you want. Toys are supposed to inspire kids to use their imagination.

I think they're just coordinating with each other. I know you like the idea of the scarf being part of her shirt, but I still think it's creepy. I prefer the idea that they essentially made their own clothes and after Zarana had finished her shirt, Zandar tore a scrap off the leftover fabric that she used and tied it around his neck as a scarf.

Well it was already proven that the answer to this question is YES. Yes, the piece of cloth wrapped around Zandar's neck is indeed a piece from Zarana's shirt. People can debate that fact all they want. It doesn't change what it states on Ron Rudat's concept art page.

I think these two questions go hand in hand. I have not seen why he wears it but I have my own theory and I've had this theory since I first got Zandar and Zarana. My theory is that Zarana got herself into a little trouble with some thugs. I believe a fight or struggle took place and the lower part of her pink shirt was torn. She was taken captive by the thugs and the torn piece was left behind. Zandar and the other Dreadnoks were out searching for her and Zandar comes across the torn piece and quickly notices it being a torn piece of his sister's shirt, so he decided to tie around his neck till he finds his sister. They eventually find her, rescue her and he keeps her shirt around his neck like maybe for remembrance of finding her and saving her life or for good luck.
