The directions I don?t like is this pre order path. I feel like I?m just going into debt. It?s like I?m racking up a pre order card debt something. I haven?t payed it off.

I didn't vote, because while I like where it's going because the toys they are selling are marketed to me the 42 year old who grew up with the property in the '80s, I don't like that the direction we are going is just upscaled, up-detailed recycling of the same things over and over.
I guess given the current world economy, I can't blame them for going after the safest of safe bets. |

If I'm going to watch a live-action, I'd rather watch something in the Joeverse than some of the other stuff that's out there. Amazons shows don't draw me in though. |

Wish I checked the second page before writing this comment. Yeah. Lady Jaye is such an unusual choice of character to base a show around. She definitely is a character who works best in the ensemble than as the lead in a spin-off. I'd say Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are the only characters that can carry a film or show on their own. I'm very pleased with the action figure lines, in fact, GI Joe Classified brought me back to action figure collecting after I stopped my sophomore year of high school. The comics have been satisfying and I'm curious about what Skybound has in store for the future of the franchise. However, it is disappointing that we've gotten a middling film and video game for the franchise. Snake Eyes while having a good cast of actors was squandered by having a poor director, I want to see more of the actors in those roles, but Robert Schwentke should never direct another GI Joe movie again. The final product was a mediocre movie. Operation Blackout I've heard is just meh, I haven't played it, but it does look very monotonous and repetitive. So I would like to see better films and video games from the franchise, and a new show that's good. I'll take a revival of Resolute and bring Warren Ellis back in to write the new seasons. Overall satisfied, but there is room for improvement in terms of entertainment beyond the comics.

The subsequent cartoons aside from Resolute didn't have the same feel. I'd prefer a continuation of ARAH Sunbow with more variety of characters and vehicles.
Canceling Walmart 4" Retro figures and vehicles was a big turn off. |

I'm mostly pleased with the way things are going. Now if they'd just make Zarana's twin...

I'm MORE than pleased. All of my "wanted" figures have either been made or are coming.
Once I have Storm Shadow, Storm Shadow "retro" without those silly arm things, and Crimson Guard I'm essentially DONE. If they really wanna put a cherry on top gimme 1988 Storm Shadow as accurate as possible to the vintage toy; same goes for 1989 Snake Eyes. I wouldn't say no to a Night Viper. Finally, if they wanna go that extra extra mile, a more vintage Firely would be nice, and of course the infamous HOODED COBRA COMMANDER!!!!!! In all honesty I'm pleased as hell and I'm thiiiis close to having my personal collection complete. I know I'm the very rare exception to the rule though. |
