The full slate of 1995 would have been- Battle Corps Rangers (a mix of the new figures we?ve seen plus repaints from 94 and probably a few from before) Star Brigade (including ArmorTech Walkers) Manimals Replicators Ninja Commandos Sgt. Savage Hall of Fame It was NOT going to be this grand return of the 80s style of line. And I question how long it would have lasted before a 2002 style revamp would have occurred anyway. If I had to extend an era? New sculpt. 2005?s Robot Rebellion (which we saw fragments of between the Direct to Consumer offerings and reused designs in Sigma 6) was shaping up to be even better than Valor vs Venom. With guys like Dwight Stall leading the design team, we were getting some truly AMAZING figures (the 2005 ?pin-less? figures are his doing), and they had plans to move comic packs to DDP and more modern figures. They had plans for a new RAM (with Falcon!), new Sharc (with a proper o-ring Wetsuit!), a good chunk of the early Sigma 6 designs were culled directly from what was planned for the 3.75 line. I will die on the hill that we, as collectors, as FANS, lost out more in the abrupt change to the 8? figure format (itself a likely replacement for the failing 12? segment) than anything before or since.

I definitely agree, PoC was the pinnacle of the modern era, would have loved to see it continue with a bigger budget and more resources.
I would also say '94 as well, but honestly, those last couple of years of the vintage line lost its magic with all the repaints, generic weapon trees and some truly awful vehicles. |

For all the research I have done on the 1995 assortments?I don?t think fans would hold it in anywhere NEAR the esteem if it had been released. The basic assortment (Battle Corp Rangers) may have ?pulled back? on the colors, but that was already happening in 1994. The MCC, Whale, and TTBP were all slated for retailer exclusives with repainted figures.

Wasn't paying attention to GI Joe between v1 o-ring and Walmart 4" ARAH Retro, so ARAH modern retro for the better detail and articulation and closer to ARAH appearances.

Conceptually, I would give the OG 13 four more years of stories in the comic book.

Renegades or Resolute. You all can pick between the two. Although half the lineups could be all dead by year 2.6 for one of the choices...
...but still have better fgures... |

Now that I've reviewed some of these years, 2005 was one of the greatest times for GIJoe...
New sculpt figures on the double cards O-ring classics in the comic packs Decent figures in the budget single cards Top-tier vehicles (re-issues & new sculpt) Storm Shadow mail-ins Troop-builder sets in TRU The BATs Trooper builder set was supposed to preview the upcoming Robot Rebellion line |

Of all the representations that came before, Resolute.
But, I would rather see it branch off into something else (while keeping characters mostly the same) and be successful for 4 years. That would be a massive win for the brand.
