I put build a figure stuff right up there with blind boxes. It is annoying way to get some people to buy things they don't really want. Just give us a vehicle directly so people that want it can buy it. Even if I want all 6 figures or whatever the number is in a wave, what if I want two snowmobiles or whatever the vehicle might be now I have to buy all 6 figures twice, or go on ebay and pay way more for it?

I thought this would be a "build your dream vehicle" for the Joe line thread lol... I'm not an "opener" anymore, so a BAF vehicle wouldn't benefit me.

I'm opposed to it ever since the fiasco with the 25th DVDs battlepacks where the last set was in very limited quantities.

I remember hunting all 5 of the Walmarts, the target and the Toys R Us in my area before I found one of each of set 3 and 4 at an out of the way Walmart, these were the only ones I ever saw at retail. Set 5 I only ever saw once at a Toys R Us after they had clearanced out set 1 and 2, 3 and 4 never made it to that Toys R Us. Its super hard to complete a Marvel Legend BAF nowadays if you don't catch the wave when its stocked due to scalpers. It would suck to get stuck with an incomplete Joe BAF vehicle with no wheels or wheels with no body because a scalper grabbed the figure they could resell the easiest. I would prefer that Hasbro just bring back the 4 inch/3.75 inch line for vehicles. |

Ugh yeah, retailers over ordered sets 1 and 2 and the clogged the shelves for half a year. 3 and 4 barely were hard to find as most retailers never sold out of 1 and 2 to restock. Set 5 was almost impossible to find at retail as most retailers had dropped that part of the line by then.

The other fun part comes when Hasbro packs crucial parts in with mediocre figures. You want the front handlebars and swivel gun for a Cobra Ferret? Well, better be ready to throw $30 at that repainted Wave 1 Duke figure..

I'm loving the Marvel BAF's. What's great, is if you don't care about the BAF, and you order the whole wave, you can resell the BAF for around $75-$125. This means recouping the cost of 3-6 of the figures from a particular wave. I've gotten entire waves of figures nearly free, using this method.

Shoot, I'm sitting out that entire wave. To quote Thanos "I don't even know who you are".
