What 1:18 scale gun would you guys use for a crazylegs custom? I’m thinking modern joe or other lines or mtf.

Fred, neither Tripwire has a Browning Hi-Power. He has a 1911A1. You had it right the first time, buddy. They gave him a Browning Hi-Power on the side box art for the Tiger Force two-pack, but that is not what's in the box with him.

See?

I'm very sure that's the same pistol the Deluxe Tripwire comes with, but in green.
It looks like there's some Browning Hi-Power in the back curve of the frame, but the other shapes and details (grips, beavertail and safety, slide stop, clearance cut behind the trigger, the little curve on the frame above and in front of the trigger guard) are very distinctly 1911 (1911A1, specifically, because of that clearance cut), especially from the other side. Speaking of Tripwire, this never got updated. List still says AN/PSS-12 instead of VMH3CS
Quote:
Also, Tripwire's Mine detector is not an AN/PSS-12 as listed above. The AN/PSS-12 has a round search head and is much more sparse around the control box and arm stabilizer.
Tripwire is using a VMH3CS with a hexagonal search head. The shaft has been beefed up on the Classified version, likely to avoid legal issues with manufacturer Vallon GmbH. |
