Pretty sure you can kill someone with airsoft even if unintentionally. Unless it's a paint-gun and even then they can cause injuries.

Airsoft is generally considered non-lethal and fatalities are rare. Regardless I said the Airsoft M249 (with or without the Mugen Fire conversion) is "not lethal like the real M249." It doesn't fire 5.56 NATO cartridges, therefore it isn't.

Lenny also calls guns "blasters." And the M249 wasn't only a prototype. It's the real mass produced LMG the Classified team based their weapon on. The KAC ChainSAW is the prototype (based on a Stoner LMG). The Mugen Fire conversion for the Airsoft M249 is mass produced (just not lethal like the real M249).
FN America M249 SAW GI Joe Classified Range Viper LMG I would be all for naming after a saw-scaled viper if it was a fictional weapon, but it's really not. Even the configuration isn't really fictional as demonstrated by the videos posted yesterday. It's conceptual (or very real but done to Airsoft weapons). The real life counterpart of the Classified SAW Viper's machine gun is an M249 SAW The major architecture of the M249 SAW is 90% there. Lenny and team did the requisite minimal changes needed to make it "legally distinct," did the conversion, and stuck on a chainsaw for fun. (Speaking of what's on both the real M249 and the Classified M249, am I the only person who finds it really fucking odd that the SAW Viper's M249 chainsaw conversion still has an ammo box, even though it uses a feed chute like an M134 and is fed from a backpack? The ammo box is completely redundant) Alternate proposal "Modified M249 SAW with detachable chainsaw." The Classified M249 unnecessarily retains the classic hand guard (although the orientation of the grooves is changed) |

Guys, I've been going over these posts...let's say the gun is "FN M249 with KMC chainsaw kit" if that's OK.
It's possible the grip isn't fully shrouded for legalities, we've seen Call of Duty remove grip portions of guns in the past in similar ways. |

You mean KAC. I don't love it, but I'd certainly be okay with that. I think "FN M249 with ChainSAW conversion" reads better, but I think things are cleared up now, so I'll leave it up to Fred to decide what to pick.

Is it based on a real gun? Yes. Does it exist in that configuration? Not really... Last edited by Snake Pants; 09-22-2024 at 09:47 PM.. |

What are the firearms in the Steel Corps/Halo Jumper loadouts and are the Steel Corpsman pistol the Nerf pistols?

Corps/Jumper's got those FN SCAR 17 with SIG 550 stock rifles, the Jumper pistol is the M&P where the Corps pistol is Nerf supposedly but has inspiration from the P99.
