I also find Kalashnikovs a bit difficult to study. So much uniformity but so much variation at the same time. Fascinating as hell, though. |

I'd like your insight on how it should be listed, because I'm a bit torn as to what I would call it. "AK-9/KR-9 SBR/Vepr-12 hybrid?" Or go more detailed and call it a "Vepr 12 with AK-9 stock and KR-9 SBR trigger group and flash suppressor?"

I'm not sure what's on the end of the muzzle for the Viper Vepr, but I know I've seen it in MW2 so I'll try to find it |

There's precedent here from other people to use the magazines to determine the base weapons, that's why I need to go with the Vepr...for instance-Outback's Stoner/AR type rifle (pistol) was said to be the AR-10 I would guess going off the short, straight mags. There's logic to it but it could just be 20 round 5.56 mags too, so yes, they're toys so it takes some guesswork

I had this one guy on FB, (a supposed sword expert,) tell me that S.E.'s sword wasn't a dao, but it was a katana. Never mind the fact that S.E.'s sword has a distinguishing feature on it that clearly makes it Chinese as opposed to Japanese. Ole boy was on some silly shiy because he then asks me why would a guy trained in Japanese martial arts have a Chinese sword? To which I responded, "Ron Rudat thought it looked cool." If you go on S.E.'s yojoe.com page you'll see that he has a penchant for Chinese swords because his trademark dao isn't the only Chinese sword that he carries. It's just like Jinx using a fangtian ji which guys will confuse with a naginata. It's makes me laugh at dude's insistence S.E.'s sword was katana. It's kinda like insisting a MAC-10 is an Uzi.

I don't know swords or knives either, but I do know that the Chinese have swords that in passing look like katanas so when you posted this I knew the confusion you went through-it's ok to be wrong sometimes too, I have years of unusual gun knowledge, history, function, etc. from the videos, books, websites, instructional software, etc. more than everyone else I know combined but even I get confused like we saw recently.
It's very tough with Soviet weapons especially Kalashnikovs because they re-use so much of their designs from one gun to the next, Colt is even worse because they re-use names for products for different weapons or just mix things up without specifying new product |

That's part of what made Snake Eyes unique, especially version 3. He's a ninja but loved his Chinese weapons.
