I assume that while it's the standard side arm for a Marine, Lenny probably felt that because the M18 is a compact, it would look too small in the hands of a big guy like Gung Ho, and so they gave him the full size, which is the M17. Style choice.

Being that we got the M18 and the P320 Compact we should get the M17 as a matter of principle.

Doesn't Gung-Ho have the M17, it's got the extended baseplate plus the longer slide which extended past the dust cover...it's the M18 we don't have but with how similar the silhouette is to the P320 Recondo has I don't see them sculpting it

As the other gun enthusiast, I will respond to the rhetorical question with a yes. As I've said before a couple times, Retro Gung Ho has an M17, not an M18.
