Out of curiosity, I've been looking around at various versions of him - both comic and figures from the last 20 or so years (starting with Devils Due #1). I think you could do a pretty good update of V1 and include either two heads or switchable hats and it would probably satisfy fans of both.

Personally, I prefer the V1 Shipwreck look. The hat gives him character and shows instantly that he's a navy man.

I'd love to see a Classified Shipwreck, but I'd like to see an O-Ring one first (Either straight-up repro of the 85 or a Sunbow version). He's one of my nephew's favorites on the cartoon, and they didn't made a OG-style one in the 97-06 era that's recognizable as Shipwreck, so it's hard to find one for him that won't break.
So, yeah, if Hasbro could do an OG Shipwreck in the O-Ring line (and the Classified line), that'd be awesome.

My original Shipwreck looks awful but I still prefer him over the Arctic Threat Shipwreck. That variation makes no sense. Like assigning Snow Job to the W.H.A.L.E.

They should've gone for the Naval greatcoat like in the show. I still want an O-Ring version of this.

Time of me to be that anal sartorialist guy. That's not a greatcoat Shipwreck has on. It's a peacoat (which the Navy officially phased out last year.)

Off topic. The peacoat is the most versatile piece of a man's winter wardrobe and as the owner of a Schott peacoat I can attest to it's warmth. You can wear it with hoodies and jeans or slacks with a shirt and tie. Every man that lives in a cold weather climate should own a peacoat.

That's a classic look to me, but probably classier than Shipwreck deserves.
