Dude! Do you have scans of all the DDP Battle Files pages?
I dug out a New Sculpt custom I did back in 2003 based off the pic of Tunnel Rat in Battle Files #1, scoured the internet for the Tunnel Rat page but couldn't find it anywhere. was hoping to post here with the comparison image if I can find it.

Also, one further thing I can't quite wrap my head around.
Seldom do I see anyting other than malice held towards 5POA figures, yet everyone jumps at the sight of the ReAction figures. Colour me confused. But it looks like Hasbro's dangling the carrot in front of us. |

Yup. I've got some pretty unfriendly opinions towards Hasbro lately. Which honestly started when they ignored the 12" GI Joe for the 50th Anniversary line.
Lately, outside of the Classified series, Hasbro's grasping at straws, desperately trying to please everyone, yet impressing very few. The Joes of ye olden times were laden with details, and possessed articulation that should have become the standard. In 64 Joe was boasted as having "21 movable parts!" These days Hasblo execs defecate in a box, throw a GI Joe label on it and ship it out. |

A lot of casual fans will also see them in Book, hobby, and mall type stores and pick them up as there first Joe since their childhood and put them on a shelf as Reaction is carried by stores regular figures are not. The sculpts are quite amazing on them and are very Sunbow accurate. If they weren't so expensive I would love to collect them to keep on card. Peronally I only really want are a couple of the Gamemaster's clown as its a robot so 5 poa doesn't bother me as much. It has the same articulation as The Snake Armor and more articulation than 25th Deep six. And it has never been released before. If I got it I would stick it in my 25th display. But 18 bucks is more than I'm willng to pay for it. The sculpt, paint, and work put into them looks to be worth it its just out of my price range for figures nowadays. I'm of the opinion that Hasbro is ashamed of its product. They have a couple of enthusiastic designers (maybe only one) but some of the others involved don't seem aware of the line. But, each time we buy a Joe we give the Big H a few dollars to put toward products they want to make as popular as G.I. Joe once was. It's not unlike that time when Hef decided to take nudity out of Playboy after decades of corrupting the way men see women (or women see themselves). Own it and correct it, but don't hide it and deny it. |
