I bought these food grade silicone o-rings from Amazon for my V1 o-ring figures. Not enough time has passed to comment on durability. I chose these after referring to a GI Joe fan site's suggested o-ring specs.

I get mine from the plumbing section of the hardware store (they are the same thing). Vintage joes are a 9 or 10 I believe. I'm not sure what size the VvV ones were but if you took one in it should be easy to match up.

When I go to the hardware store, low probability I'll find product info specs to buy the right thing and the employees don't know anything. You also got a good chance someone would misplace some piece in the wrong drawer, wrong section. My initial attempt to buy an o-ring from hardware store resulted in a broken o-ring in one year.
I think from the GI Joe fan site on o-rings, they said if you use the wrong o-ring, the tension could be too strong and damage the figure. From what I've read, if I remember correctly, the 70A spec is the measure of stretchiness. This is the fan site: Pint O' Comics » G.I. Gary Shows You How: Properly Change a G.I.
