If I had to choose only one for Hasbro to produce from now until forever, it would be o-ring.

I enjoyed o-ring....I enjoyed modern era....I even enjoyed Sigma Six.
But Classified is the format that I've always wanted the most, so this is the best time ever to be a Joe collector. |

I grew up with O-ring, but I'm done with that scale. I love the 6-7" figures... they look so much better on display.

I want to add that I want o-ring because the vehicles are such an integral part of GI Joe to me. So that choice is with the understanding that the figures would be accompanied by vehicle (and other non-figure) releases.
I really dig Classified and am into the line big time, but if I'm choosing, it's o-ring. I do agree about 1:12 figures displaying better in general. Ideally we would get plenty of Joe lines in different scales. I still want a Joe analog to Mission Fleet or even Jazwares' Micro Galaxy Squadron. |

Went with 6" because that's most of what I've been picking up since classified. I enjoy O-ring also, I just don't feel like I'm actively collecting it anymore since that part of my collection has been static for so long.

4" ME figures from POC to 50th. 25th and ROC figures are disproportionate, and lanky. I tried Classified, but sold it off as I decided not to start another collection.

4 inch 25th through ME. I was able to pick up almost the full Sunbow cast, some of my favorite vehicles, and most of the other Joes I wanted from those lines that I was never able to get growing up. Sadly I was never able to find any of the Walmart Retro 4 inch line and I missed out on the last few years of ME before it went Collecters Club only because Hasbro really dropped the ball in my area on the Joe lines.
6 inch takes up too much space for me nowadays and misses out of the vehicle and playsets half of GI Joe that I love. Classic O rings have gotten too expensive for me to even try to collect and Modern O rings feel too expensive for what you get. Most of the figures I would collect have horribly dated sculpts compared to the 4" ones I have of the character. If I were to ever come across affordable Oring figures and vehicles though I would scoop them up in a heartbeat. Since Hasbro no longer makes the 4" scale I collect I've swapped to other lines in the scale. I try to grab any Fortnite 4" figures that look cool and fit in with Joe. When I see a 4", 3.75" or other scaled figures in any other lines that I can make a custom Joe or Cobra out of I grab it as well. Last edited by sisco; 05-19-2023 at 03:08 PM.. |

Modern 6" because they have the greatest attention to detail I've seen in action figures. I have liked 6" figures since I got Toybiz' Spider-Man Classics & Mattel's 2003 Batman line. I've wanted GI Joe to go 6" for a long time since becoming a Joe Fan to go with my Marvel Legends & DC Universe Classics figures. I was so glad when Classified came around because it was long overdue. I had a few of the modern 4" figures as a kid they were fine and went with my 4" Marvel & DC figures just fine. Never had the O-Ring figures because those were before my time.
