Would be cool to get to the Star Wars level of 1/12, 1/18 retro and 1/18 modern era.

I would also like a GI Joe The Vintage Collection (TVC) but using the masterpiece 4" modern tooling for each character.
For o-ring, aside from rivets and paint apps, I have no problem assembling the figures myself to save on price tag/cost. It would also enable smaller packaging. Last edited by ohtani; 11-10-2021 at 10:36 PM.. |

Absolutely this, and I know this is probably asking a bit TOO much, but I would love an “Expanded Universe”-type sub-line of the Classified series, like what the Gaming Greats or Archive Collection for SW Black Series does - filled with characters from the alternate JOE stuff like Sgt. Savage, Extreme, Sigma 6, etc. Sorry but I’m still a 90s kid at heart.

THIS! I concur and I STRONGLY SUPPORT THIS MOVEMENT! By no means should the Classified Series be restricted to just A Real American Hero, but it should encompass the entire line. Everybody from Rocky, Skip, and Ace (the original jOEs,) Adventure Team, Sgt. Savage, (though you would have to retcon his origin story,) and I'm even down to give Sigma Six another shot in the [il]Classified Series[/i]. This needs to happen because Hasbro needs to give the people a 6" Iron Klaw....

On the subject of newer characters, I’d be happy to see a Sgt Savage (version below) or an Iron Klaw someday, maybe even a Dynamite or Inferno too. But I’m talking down the road to mix things up, not right away.
Savage plays into the historical theme MGurlea is talking about too, at least sorta. |

I'm surprised the club didn't do a Sgt Savage theme for the line's 20th anniversary back in 2015.

Maybe this is a goofy idea, but I think it would be cool if Hasbro made a "holiday" offering each year. But instead of awful red & green repaints of existing figures, Hasbro could make them all Arctic-based characters. Kind of like how Holiday Barbie works, but instead we might get stuff like Snow Job, Stalker v2, Iceberg, Frostbite, etc. It could be as simple as a regular figure in regular packaging, or something deluxe like two-packs (or maybe even a Polar Battle Bear!) in special holiday-themed packaging. I just think it would be fun to 1) be assured that we can build a mission-specific team over time and 2) look forward to finding out what the reveal will be each year.

They could do something with that one episode of the cartoon, "Cobra Claws are coming to town". Make the packaging look like Christmas presents, sort of like boxes the Cobra troops were inside of in that episode. Two packs would be a great way to get some troop builders, a Joe and a Cobra Snow Serpent in each box, a set with Ice Viper and Snow Serpent troop builder box. Or a box with v1 and v2 Snow Serpents. There is so much they could do with that theme, the Joes and Cobra Commander, Destro, Baroness and such in winter coats like they wore in the cartoon. Finally have Zartan, Quick Kick and Gung-Ho ready to fight in the snow lol. Quote:
That might be a great way to get out late 80's and 90's characters that might not be so popular as the 82-86 characters, by putting them in a themed set. |
