Yojoe says Zeck/Beatty were the cover artists. Comicvine added Greg Horn, which I don't think would be right. Not sure where my issue went.

My first comic was a British kiddie comic called Pippin, that (like many British comics) was an anthology title and included Superted, whom I liked. I was about 4. I followed that for a while before switching to The Beano, a famous long-running Brit humour anthology title. My first Marvel comic was Transformers UK #49. My first superhero comic was X-Men (vol. 2) #12.

Nice. The past few years, I've been collecting DVD sets of the Hanna-Barbera library. I'll keep an eye out for this one.

It's in one of those Choose Your Fate books that Zandar and Zarana being twins is first mentioned too. I picked up a couple of the books a few years ago to confirm it for us on here. Fun little stories.
As for covers...this one will always be a favorite. I remember picking it up at my local comic shop as a kid when it was new. ![]() Deep six looked so bad ass on that cover and though the figure while still being very cool paled in comparison .. That is a great cover silent interlude ?issue 21? is another great one as well .. Or issue #

Cool to see all those covers together from each year. It's funny how, in the first year, the artists were just inventing so many bonkers vehicles that look more like 60s-era sci fi contraptions, than anything that would actually appear in the toy line
