Yojoe says Zeck/Beatty were the cover artists. Comicvine added Greg Horn, which I don't think would be right. Not sure where my issue went.

There were both straightforward YA novels as well as "Find Your Fate" ("choose your own adventure" style) books. R.L. Stine wrote some of them early in his career before he created Goosebumps.

It's in one of those Choose Your Fate books that Zandar and Zarana being twins is first mentioned too. I picked up a couple of the books a few years ago to confirm it for us on here. Fun little stories.

As for covers...this one will always be a favorite. I remember picking it up at my local comic shop as a kid when it was new.

I bought that issue about a month ago thinking I'd never seen it before, but the dossier illustrations came back to me. I'm not sure if I had this book back then or if it was part of the jumbo size #1. I also vaguely recall you posting that blurb from the FYF book. Good luck digging that post up again!
