I disagree. Nothing was sacrificed for the Club. Anything the club released was stuff Hasbro approved and had no intention of ever doing themselves. Many times the club asked about characters and were turned down if it was something Hasbro had intentions to do. If not for the Club’s releases, most of those characters would’ve never seen the light of day again. Characters like Fast Draw were obviously too complex for what tooling the Club had available to them, but as previously stated, they did some other ones that were spectacular. I know a lot of people say the club was a rich man’s only deal, but that just isn’t true either. I’m certainly not rich but was able to budget to get all of their offerings I wanted. Small run collectibles aren’t cheap to make and cater to niche audiences. Mainstream characters are pretty much all Hasbro cares about releasing.

Yeah, nothing was sacrificed for the Club. You're right, if it weren't for the Club a lot of those figures would have never been made. I hate when people try to make that and the rich man argument. The Club was expensive but if you budgeted, it was doable for a lot of people.

Hogwash. Night force falcon, Hit and Run, Grand slam, Law and order, and so on. Hasbro had no intention of producing a Night force Falcon, but a Falcon all in Black? They had no intention of producing a Hit and Run unless the green was changed to grey? They had no intention of producing a member of the og 13 that they already made three versions of but not the original 1982? When have you known Hasbro to skip an easy repaint? A major selling point for this line is is nostalgia, and that didn't end in 1986. They gave away that to the club and convention exclusives. They had an entire later fanbase eager to pick up Freefall, Repeater, Gridiron, Hardball and so on. Instead Hasbro decided to relegate these figures to the club or convention exclusives in favor of another Duke, Snake Eyes, Stormshadow, Cobra commander and on. The ironic part was they could have made a later version of those figures and captured that market. They in fact did with the Dollar General line and Hasbro labeled it a mistake that "snuck through". These figures are still looked at fondly by the fanbase as some of the best things to come out with threads on this forum popping up every couple of months praising them and wishing for their return. Ninja force Storm Shadow was one of the most popular releases but nunchuck? No plans probably wouldn't sell anyway, just give it to the club. Hogwash.

The idea isn't i can't afford them, rather that they are made artificially scarce and that is used to jack up the price. The most expensive parts of action figure production are the molds and labor. The molds are for the most part reuses and there isn't more labor involved to produce club figures than main line figures. Consider Black majors products. Having to pay for new molds, a small production run, and an oring construction requiring more screws, rivets, and other more expensive metal components, they come in at around 15.00 to 20.00 a piece. With no obligation to buy figures you don't want. What justifies the higher price of the subscription service? It's not the molds, or labor, and a small run doesn't account for a 5x price increase over retail.

I loved some of the Club figures, but they are just expensive. Plus I found that a lot of them, I had to do minor things to make them the way I like it.
However, being that they are factory releases, it does make easier to customize. Like Fast Draw, only needed helmet and backpack added and just used the club one as a base: However, there were some like Iceberg that I really wanted but felt the club cheaped out big time and what was released was very disappointing. Had to do a lot to mind but I'm always scared to 'play' with the figure now. However, Freefall was one of my favourites but he just cost so much cause of him being the parachute figure. Event that though, I wasn't completely happy and made my own changes. So, I loved that the club released a lot of figures I wanted, but just not happy with how expensive they were to obtain cause of the limited release, and the fact that in many cases, I still had to get other parts to customize onto them. Wouldn't have hurt as much if I was doing that on regular release figures instead of really high dollar once, which is why in most cases, everything I do is reversible. So, I miss the products, but don't miss the prices and difficulty in obtaining them.

Iceberg was terrible. I also hated Blackout's head. They definitely cheaped out there.

Yes and no... I miss the figures..they made some good ones..I likes the FSS and that you could pay all to once or in payments( I wish that Haslab would do it)... NO because some of the stuff was expensive and I wasn't able to get some of the figures I wanted... All in all YES I do miss the club.
