I'm not necessarily completely opposed to including aliens in the line per se*. But these particular aliens look quite stupid, imo. Plus their filecards are horribly written, and make absolutely no sense.
https://www.yojoe.com/action/subteam...ixempire.shtml Oh, and I won't even mention what the green one's head resembles: https://www.yojoe.com/images/resize/...back_large.jpg * Don't love the idea, just not completely opposed.

Lunatix were after my time playing but I picked them up at an outlet mall when I got into collecting again. I have a soft spot for them.
Aliens and Predator were two of my favorite films growing up and they always felt like they would work for GI Joe. I also loved the early issues of (I think it was Frontline) where Duke and a team were fighting a genetic snow beast of some sort in the Artic, very x-files feel to it. I would love to see those aspects in a joe line fighting monsters/aliens/genetic experiments.

90s Joes would be better regarded if not for the neon-colors. The Sci-fi stuff is fun. I would keep the monsters, robots, and aliens. Just ditch the ninjas. They belong in the past.

I thought it was silly but I thought some of the aliens looked cool specifically the Iguana guy and the snake dude. I always thought Cobra had some umbrella undertones so would not mind if they went that way with it. With aliens though if they did I would want it to be more serious like Predator or The Thing no cartoon crap like the ninja turtles did.

I wrote them into one of my fan-fic stories as part of a bizarre nightmare one of Space Force is having after watching Predator.
That's as far as I was willing to go to use them in my stories. Otherwise I have no use for them or the friggin' Mega Monsters. |
