I only know them as cousins (from Renegades) so I'll stick with that in my cannon. I remember RB from my childhood, but I was out of Joes when HD came out. I really didn't know who he was until Renegades. It doesn't hurt the lore for me.

I will ask though, what is everyone going to do with the Classified RB V2, now that HD is coming out? Is that going to be a bearded RB or a whole new character in your Classified Joeverse?

Roadblock he's the original one, I only heard of heavy duty when the movie came out.

I prefer Roadblock over Heavy Duty. Heavy Duty came along after I had outgrown the toys, and if he had any comic book appearances, they weren't memorable.

That said, I don't see them overlapping specialty-wise enough to really merit a true side-by-side comparison, like Grunt vs Footloose or Short-Fuze vs Downtown.

From a design perspective, Roadblock's is just about perfect. It fits with the early Joes, but the tank top and bald head (despite the poor V1 sculpting) give him just enough distance from the others to shine.

Heavy Duty's design is too busy. A ridiculous "does everything!" weapon that would be impractical to lug around and obnoxious camouflage detract from a well sculpted figure. Shockingly, the TRU MOBAT figure came with meh accessories and a dull color scheme, but they work wonders to show off what a good figure it could have been.

Roadblock all day long. Easily one of my favorite Joes; both in the cartoon and comics. I like Heavy Duty too, although not on the same level as RB. However, the new Classified Heavy Duty is fantastic.

I agree. I think I may like the Classified Heavy Duty slightly more than the Classified Heavy Artillery Roadblock.
