The best accessory to these guys is thick blanket. Drop a blanket on the floor and you have mountain and valleys to fight on. Get bored, pick the blanket up and drop it again and you have another landscape to fight on.

Nice, I like this, and that worked back in the day with the Joes too. I used to slide my matress over a little and act like the area on top of the box spring was like a long hallway or something...My wife won't let me do that now! LOL!

That’s exactly what I used to do as a kid. Always had a mountain range for them to fight in.

My parents had these boxes that had ugly pictures on the outside then open it up and it was just plywood. I would always put a big yardstick over the top and had figures usually storm shadow fight someone and knock them into the chasm that was filled with Fire or lava.

Yeah, I always wanted those big sets they sold but never had one....Pork Chop Hill, Guns of Navarone, kinda stuff. In the case of army men, imagination was your best playmate.

In a small way, these 1980's ARAH G.I. Joe action figures have almost returned to the shape and scale of the Army men plastic soldiers, by becoming die cast metal figurines produced by Jada.

Sept 17, 2021......Yo Joe!
Where would today's G.I. Joe action figures be if it weren't for the earlier Army men plastic soldiers? The first series of G.I. Joe ARAH action figures were essentially painted, articulated, modernized upscale adaptations of these little plastic soldier figurines, even influencing some figures roles on the team such as a Bazooka Soldier, Mortar Soldier, Flamethrower, Mine Detector, Infantry Trooper, etc. Last edited by LEEE777; 09-18-2021 at 08:00 AM.. |
