"Stage fright" or "How I'm afraid to show my Con Haul"

Okay, so I just got back to the Ft Sill barracks in Oklahoma from the Kansas City Joe Con.

Our barracks consists of 3 man rooms.

I have a huge haul, but i can't leave it in my car because the oklahoma heat will warp my figures/vehicles.

So i stored everything in my locker, but....

I WANT TO OPEN MY JOES! I got all the ROC stuff i needed including helix and elite vipers, I got a hydrofoil, i got the con exclusive 12" Baroness and Crimson Guard Paratrooper, I got a STUN, I got a Moccassin, and more.

I want to check out all my cool stuff, but i know as soon as I break out my stuff everyone on the third floor will be on my ass for the rest of the training cycle.

Do I lock myself in a stall and open my joes? Do I open in the Janitor's closet? Do I take the ridicule like a man? (this last course of action seems brave, but knowing my battle buddies they will steal figs and give them to the cadre as a joke, or hide them from me...)

Need your advice, tankers, i'm dying here with tons of cool crap to play with locked and tucked away only 4 feet from where i'm typing but i'm surrounded by roomates...

Well, I would've went with Option #3, but since you feel that it may not be a smart move....

Even though it's going to kill ya, I'd say hold off on opening them for now. You know you have them, so it's something to look forward to.

Keep that shit underwrap, unless you want to be made fun of and worse, have your stuff stolen.

Patience, wait till you get a real residence or at least just one roommate.

Based on your description, I'd hold off until a better time to open them. Plus, it'll be like waiting for Christmas this way, which is often better than when the day actually arrives.

And don't your instructors go thru your rooms for inspection and whatnot?

Is one thing to have your buddies making fun but the instructors and staff...

Do not break them out in the open!

It seems your aware already that the Joes would wind up in the hands of the Cadre quickly! That is not what you want at all imo.

I would opt for the Janitor's closet idea myself.
