I just love that mold, also used for the Red Ninja in the #21 comic pack (one of the pieces that got me back into collecting, I love that one) and the camo version that was in the Cobra Ninja Strike set during the VvV days. Good times...

I'll never forget, getting #21 with two other issues in one of those Toys R Us packs. I was hooked before I got home. I didn't even realize there were no words right away, it's that good.

I guess it was a good thing Scarlett was there to save SE and continue the ninja stories on for ... 30 years. AWOL was saying that this issue was a mistake but I'm not sure he elaborated. Ever heard that before?

Denny O'Neil, the editor at the time, had misplaced the script for issue 21. So they had to scramble to get an issue together in a week or so. Hence, they didn't use any dialog in the story to save time. Hama went ahead and drew the issue himself. The rest is history.

I know G.I. Joe has had a few silent issues since then, but I think other comics have done it as well. I do remember the Deadpool "tribute" cover.

Hama's silent Origins #19 was pretty good.
