The silent issue with Zartan and the Red Ninja wearing the identification devices was cool. Loved the beginning with the Samurai exhibit attacking Jinx at the museum.

My last figure as a kid was v2 Shipwreck. He was my favorite Joe, but I was too young for the earlier years. He was the only one I saved from when I was a kid. I barely thought of him until I was in Walmart looking for a gift for my nephews birthday and saw the retro HISS and AWE Striker and thought they were the coolest things I’d ever seen haha. I bought them for myself and collected the limited retro line and am now happily moving onto the new o-rings and backed a skystriker. I dove right back in.

That was almost literally me back in 2000, only I was in a Fred Meyer, I stumbled on the A Real American Hero Collection and I was looking at a brand new MOBAT, a tan Dragonfly and a shit ton of carded two-packs of o-ring figures. It was surreal!

I missed that era completely. Makes me wonder if we'll ever see those gorgeous vehicles again. |
