Makai Tensho is badass. I remember actually learning quite a bit from it, as I was big (still am) into Samurai Shodown at the time. So it got me reading a lot of Stephen Turnbull and interested in Shimabara.

Yeah, I think I have 2 Turnbull books: Nagashino and something Samurai about army numbers, armor, weapons, introductory stuff.
Have you seen any Tatsuya Nakadai movies. He's my favorite. Most people like Mifune but I like Tatsuya and Tetsuro Tamba.

I agree, again, I dont really have an issue with Storm shadow, but GiJoe got ninja crazy towards the end, and that turned me off from it, i get people love it and what not, but im not a ninja guy and dont see the need for them in a modern warfare, think i owned stormshadow and maybe Jinx but never used her often

When I do toy photographies, I don't mix ninja and samurai with modern military. And that's why I love Tenchu and don't like Ninja Gaiden.
