I like both, but if I had to choose one for all eternity, it would be helmet. The hood usually looks great, and a hooded CC was my first ('92 TBC), but the helmet is more iconic.

But I would also love some hooded, suited CCs like that exclusive. Looks so sharp.

Prefer the hood, but never much of a fan of the Commander. Destro is a cooler antagonist to me.

So I voted Hood which at first I found odd because the only CC I had as a kid was the original Mail Away Battle Mask version. I actually love both looks, and think they both have their place. Mask on the battlefield, hood at headquarters and on broadcast. However, I was always jealous of my friends Hooded CC from the command center because he actually matched my Blueshirts. The light blue on the battle mask CC always irked me as a kid. So at the end of the day my favorite look of his is the Crimson Command look with the hood and cape. So that makes it two to one for the hood.

I prefer Helmet he looks more menacing with a helmet than a hood. The hooded version always struck me as a Baron Zemo knock-off.
