well, i dont want that anniversary modern sculpt crap if im getting gijoes. i dont care how much it costs, i want an o-ring, tbar, and 3 mythical(because i cant buy them at a hardware store) screws constructed figure. i may have hated mostly the new sculpt figures, but i bought the o-ring ones and i bought the re-released RAH sculpt ones.
star wars figures and other 5 poa figures are supposed to be all plastic without those things. it drives me nuts when i see people never batting an eye for joytoy and acid rain figure costs, but the minute an o-ring fan comes along and says " i really like that and wish that we could have that style again" they trip over themselves to say how expensive an o-ring figure is. same people say gijoe lost it's military style with cobra la, and neon, but sport NINJA CLAN tattoos because of the NINJA gijoes that all came from the same NINJA CLAN. anyway, now that i know it's about 6" figures and rather hasbro's penchant for screwing up a great thing, it's both a conspiracy and the dumb dumbs in charge. yes. the right thing to do is make toys larger, and more expensive so people dont buy as many because of space and cost. i want to touch on the dumb idea to bring retro back, if they're actively trying to kill the 3.75" scale. it is. it is fucking dumb. from the idea of calling modern sculpt figures retro (because they're not), to poorly distributing them, and making people believe they're sold out. of course the one box walmart gets every six months is sold out. great success. send as many boxes as they do marvel legends and we'll really see how it turns out. and if there's one conspiratorial thing going on, there's definitely a few more. frankly, after the last 6 years of barren shelves: i hate being a hasbro stockholder, and i hate how i dont have any idea how to sell it. i've owned this crap since 1999. |
