Hi I was wondering if hasbro will be shipping more than 1 or 2 of each figure per wave because there still hard to find I really wish it was like the old days were you could find what ever it was you were looking for without having to drive to 20 different stores. Hasbro needs to ship more than 1 box per store otherwise make the box bigger and include 20 of each figure.. I found this picture here on hisstank a couple days ago and i think hasbro needs to look at it and see what heavon looks like.

I don't think Hasbro has any say in how many boxes get shipped to stores. I'm sure they only sell by the truckloads to the various retailers. It's the retailers who then decide how many boxes each store gets. I'm sure someone with retail experience can confirm this.

That picture is enough to make a person cry. I don't think we will ever see the toy isles packed with joes like that ever again. As for larger quantities, the retailers themselves would have to order more cases, hasbro has nothing to do with that. I do like the idea of bigger cases, that should be something hasbro should consider...

I know hasbro dosnt have a say in how many boxes a store buys but they have a say in how many figures they but in a box and right now its 8 figures a wave. I think they need to pack 30 figures a box that would make it so everyone could get a chance to buy what they want without having to resort to ebay and paying ungodly amounts of money

That picture brings back some good memories...
As for stores, there are people hired just for the sole reason to decide what store gets how much of what product. These people grade each store in tiers. Tier 1- 3. in terms of Target, a Tier 1 store is a Greatland or a similar big store. Tier 3 is a basic Target in a smaller population. Tier 1s get first dibs on all product and get heavy allocated. Tier 3s would get some only if there's any left and/or get a small qty. Tiers are figured up by traffic, profit, loss prevention stats, etc. Ever wonder why 1 Target, Walmart or TRU in the area gets, say 5 cases of figures, yet the same stores a few miles away gets 1 or none? this is why. All of this is tied to computers which is how their planograms are figured up. Why some walmarts don't carry certain product but others have abundance. The more you know, and knowing is half the battle! |

TRU could possibly do it again if they only got a steady supply.

Hasbro would like nothing more than to see toy aisles like that again. Really. But it's not just a matter of packing larger cases or higher production runs. Nowadays, you've got to be willing to deal with Wal-Mart and Target and other such big box stores. They are simply not going to devote that much shelf space to one toy line, ever. And TRU probably cannot afford to.
Why wouldn't Hasbro want aisles full of nothing but Joe toys? They'd be deliriously happy. But those days are probably gone.
