Some of my favorite parts of the cartoon were the little tiffs Leatherneck and Wetsuit got into (or Jarhead and Froggy, as they liked to refer to each-other) over the Corp vs the Seals, only to watch them both risk their lives for each-other that same ep. I'm sure if the original series had been allowed to continue we'd a had Falcon sticking his green beret into arguments too. ;) |

The Marines have Hostage Rescue Teams, and the fact that Bull Horn is an enlisted soldier means that he more than likely came from the Marine Corps. If he had been an FBI agent, he would be an Officer like Bull Horn or Sure Fire. There have been multiple discussions about the 4 debated Marines, and Bullhorn is certainly the most debatable. It could go either way. I personally think the Armor qualification and the enlisted rank lead to the logical conclusion of the Marine Corps. Just my opinion.

Meh, I think he was just having a little fun with the inter-forces rivalries/competition that go on. ;)

I think there is something special about the Navy/Marine rivalry that the other services can't really understand. They're sort of cousins. Both branches come under the Dept. of the Navy.

It is pretty much all the guys with big mustaches. I think they issue them in the Joe Marines.

Well, although not necessarily labeled as "Official" Marines, there was the Mega-Marines:
Clutch Gung Ho Mirage Blast Off ....definitely not a definitive grouping, but at least there was a "Marine" squad in the line. |

I agree we need more Marines in the Joes'.
There probably isn't many Joe' Marines because the rest of the Joes are afraid the Marines will make them look bad
