They could do 6in Renegades figures and I'd buy the shit out of them. I would also buy the shit out of realistic military representations of Joe.
Quality speaks volumes. Turds become harder to justify when you have great figures on the shelves. As long as they keep moving forward, and Don look back at cheaper made lower quality I'll be fine. |

Realism is extremely overrated, imo. I'd take hot pink over olive drab any day (of the week).

Maybe so. Although at least hot pink is revolting in an electrifying way. While olive drab is not only ugly, but boring as well.

Joe has to be a good combination of the two: Footloose and Leatherneck with M-16', but also laser rifle troopers, guys wearing football jerseys, some neon SWAT troops, a hefty amount of red ninja, and even some guys like Crystal Ball!

My sweet-spot is ARAH up until 1985. The colors were (mostly) subdued, but not drab; each side had one ninja for added themes, and the tech was (mostly for the Joes) real-world inspired, yet peppered with the right amount of 'the near-future'.

Nice question Seven. You’ve really got people sharing on this one! I agree with a balance. I like the sci-fi aspects as long as not TOO bright. Cobra Agent 66’s comment resonates.

I think 66 summed it up pretty well. GI Joe needs to have a good mix between military and Sci Fi for its character and vehicle design. If you lean to far in either direction Joe could loose its feel (to much sci fi you get power rangers. To much military you get the snobby realistic type of hobby where everything has to be photo realistic). Personally I like more the subdued Joes. And my favorite Joes are mostly from 86-87, but I can appreciate the more wonky ones.
