I’m hoping some one can help me. I’m trying to identify the red flying fish symbol on wet-suit chest. I thought it was a unit mascot or something, but he isn’t wearing military gear so maybe it’s a brand logo. I’m getting nowhere, any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks Jon |

I don't think it is a real logo. And I thought it was a flying shark...

I always thought that fish with wings logo was representing the SEALs since Wetsuit was a SEAL (Sea Air Land).

Neither formbx257 or HoodedCobraCommander788 mention any real world parallel in their YouTube videos, so more than likely that sigil is simply a figment of Hasbro's imagination. Especially since, in many cultures, the flying fish is a symbol of good luck/great success. (Also, in the interpretation of dreams as well.)
Sorta surprising they didn't just use the Devilfish logo instead (to further tie the two 1986 products together). Even though that "mer-devil" does look pretty stupid.

The logo for the S.H.A.R.C. is (logically enough) a winged shark. So you can compare/contrast the two.

Well the actual symbol for the SEALS is an eagle clutching an anchor, trident, and pistol. But the individual teams do then have their own symbols which can be whatever. And yes some of them are actual seals.

I don't think it's a shark. The fin on the back is rounded and the snout is wrong.

Honestly, I think there are elements in the Wetsuit logo that copy the actual Navy Seal logo. Due to copyright, they took the general outline and reimagined it by distorting the image.

If it wasn't for that damned fin on the back of it, I'd think it was supposed to be a seal with eagle wings.
