Because Zandar was a sibling to the 1984 Zartan, sold single carded in 1986, and so too was Zarana, also credited as a sibling of Zartan, it is logical to assume that while they are of the same family, they might not be twins. In fact, it would be illogical to assume that they are twins
They're twins. It got buried. It has been more prominent in recent years. Hoping it doesn't vanish as a character trait.

Yeah that’s it thanks. So do you have every Zander and Zarana created. This might be another dumb question LOL. Also do you want the two pack to be 6” or 4” or what scale? I would love to have both. I actually like Zander a lot and think he needs a new head sculpt for 4” joes.

I’m curious now about what made you believe that they are twins in the first place. Was the earliest mention of it made in the book which you mentioned, the Young Adult / Fiction G.I. Joe book titled “Invisibility Island” published by Ballantine Books in 1988? I’ve never read that particular book, but the back of the cover reads in part: “…COBRA agent Zanzibar and his Dreadnok troops have infiltrated the high security think tank and have kidnapped Dr. Ehks…” I remember his file card stating that Zanzibar “…is so nasty that the other Dreadnoks hate his guts! He sneaks around at night and goes through their pockets for change.” Maybe for that reason, and the way that writer Larry Hama treated the character in a year earlier in June of 1987 with Marvel’s G.I. JOE #60, when Zarana hops aboard a barge and starts beating the thieving pirate, Zanzibar, to teach him a lesson for stealing from Zartan and the Dreadnoks. That scene is probably what convinced me that Zanzibar doesn’t actually lead the Dreadnoks. It seems like Zartan or Zarana does, so just the back cover mention of the book, Invisibility Island, raises some questions. Invisibility Island was written by Lynn Beach, which is a pseudonym for author Kathryn Lance, who is practically an octogenarian now living in the Tucson, Arizona area, and volunteering her time teaching about reptiles at Tohono Chul Park on occasion. While she seems very intelligent, that book assignment might have been the singular time she interacted with the G.I. Joe properties or characters, and she might have just made up some details which she knew nothing about. I would liken Kathryn Lance’s made up details about the characters to that of Stephen Sommers in 2009 with his G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra film in which the Baroness (sister of Cobra Commander) was going to marry Duke at one point. While that film was fun and entertaining, how many of us were convinced that those characters are siblings now and forever? I’ve heard mention of Fred Van Lente, but have never read any of his comics for the year that he worked on a G.I. Joe title. Is his work pretty solid, in your opinion? Others had told me it is, so maybe someday I’ll get around to reading it. The opinion of the infamously denounced comic book writer, Aubrey Sitterson, holds much less respect and authority than nearly anyone who has interacted with the G.I. Joe property. His name seems to get much the same treatment as Voldemort does. I wouldn’t believe anything he writes, but others are free to make their own opinions of his work. The thing about your theory of Zarana and Zandar being possibly twins that strikes me as most odd is that author Larry Hama, who I’ve spoken with at several G.I. Joe conventions, doesn’t seem to understand that these characters are twins. I thought that if any of these writers would have an understanding of these Dreadnok characters, it would be him. Sure, he doesn’t sit on a throne in judgement of the G.I. Joe property, but he seems to have a closer understanding of these characters (which he did much to help create) than some of the other authors which have worked with these characters for a single month, or a year of their lives.

It's more important who says it, than what is said.
A comment on Playful's post. That who says they're twins is more important.

I already have Zarana on vintage card but would love that Noks' pack Zandar on a vintage single card.
I have always thought of them as legit twins in my Joe universe.

Wait. I'm confused. You're supposed to be making the case for them being twins. Because I'm pretty sure Larry Hama's opinion carries a bit more weight than Aubrey Sitterson's.
At any rate, just "embrace your truth", and it won't matter what anyone else says/thinks. Not Hama, not Sitterson ... not even "the My Pillow guy".
