Question for you guys: the poc/30th/50th cobra troopers come with the sniper rifle and pistols, do you use those or do you give them something different? If something different, what do you use?

Almost none of my troops are armed with the sniper rifle they come with. I have about 40+ of these guys and most use either the Recon Assault rifle from Marauderinc (https://www.marauderinc.com/product-p/410026.htm) or the Cobra Laser SMG from the 25th anniversary line (https://www.yojoe.com/images/resize/...int13acc-3.jpg).

The Recon Assault Rifle (I think it's a G36) fits incredibly well into their hands.

One of the things I like (and dislike) about ME is that they included way more accessories than the figures need. I actually mix up the armaments in my squad a bit, most with the Dragunov, two with the rpg, and one that dual-wields the pistols (with the suppressors, of course).

I do the same with my Vipers, but with the CGs, I tend to outfit them the same.

I don't use those sniper rifles for any of my troopers, but a few of them have Dragunovs from Marauder, as i think they look better scalewise. Most of the others have a mix of AK-47s and mini AKs. I'm also outphasing the silenced pistols, and replacing them with MGR pistols.

What mgr pistols? Do they fit in the holster?

I just checked, and the ones i have are the delta pistols. They fit the holsters just fine.

They each have a pistol and silencer on the leg. Most carry the Dragonov rifle, but I have a squad that only carries the RPG for a "Bazooka Trooper" squad.

I've never opened the newer stuff (obviously I was an "opener" in the 80's) but yeah it seems they go overboard with the accessories. If a rifle, pistol, knife, silencer, recoilless rifle, backpack, skis, poles, sword, three-section-staff, fan, crossbow, bipod, tripod or ammunition belt won't fit on the character, don't include it. Just more stuff to lose in the carpet....

Nothing wrong with the 80's figures: a helmet / visor, a backpack, a rifle, and maybe a satchel charge or sword or something else to snap onto the backpack.

Most of my regular Cobra troopers get Marauder AK-74s. A couple have the best that came with the 25th “Bazooka Trooper” and they get an Marauder AK-74S with the grenade launcher. Officers get the Marauder SVD Dragunov or one of the handful of AKSUs that I got from that Falcone guy that used to post here. Vipers get the standard Viper rifle (I wish I could get more of the improved version that came with the Danger At The Docks set).

My PoC/30th/50th Cobra Soldiers use Marauder AKM rifles. I like that they are a bit more modern looking than the regular AK-47.
