Hey all, I got a 25th mainframe thats got some type of marker dyed into his arm, is there any way to remove this? Ive tried just about every single thing. I would prefer white blotches on his arm than pink lines all over. Thanks.

Goo Gone works for Sharpie on vehicles and weapons. Never tried it on a figure though. I'm sure it would work fine but you have to really use some elbow grease and a Q Tip. I've only ever used t on black sharpie but give it a try. Stuff is pretty cheap so you're not gambling a lot.

Good gone might also remove the factory paint if you are not careful. You might try 91% isopropyl alcohol, which won't damage the factory paint. May or may not be strong enough to remove the sharpie if it's truly sharpie permanent marker, but is also good for other stuff.

Another solvent that is powerful but may save the factory paint is AK Real Colors high compatibility thinner, but it's expensive for a onetime specific use like this. Available online.

Ive tried isoproyl and goo gone, the stain is pretty stubborn. Might give the ak real colors thing a shot.

Not sure if this'll help, but when I had a tv screen marked with a sharpie, I used a dry erase marker over the sharpie mark and dissolved the sharpie ink like it was dry erase. I'm uncertain it'll work on vintage plastic, but you might consider that as an option.

The 25th figures have a softer plastic so the marker probably absorbed into it. Try acne medication. Apply to the stain and let it sit for a day, rinse off and reapply if the stain hasn't completely faded.

Haven't used this on a 25th figure but have used it on vintage & modern 12" GI Joe figures that have had dye from clothes and accessories stain the softer plastic in the heads and hands.
