Cobra-La was quite possibly one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. I’m glad that never hit theatres.

I loved the DDP stuff.
Also, in my world, Falcon’s drug addiction was forced on him by dr. Mindbender and the 1987 movie was basically Falcon tripping- Serpentor is just an ego maniac and low ranking cobra soldier that tricked Mindbender into thinking his genetic experiment had worked. Mindbender started develop mind expanding drugs, leading to the Cobra law hallucinations. Or somethingl ike that |

Firefly isn't that great. He was an awesome looking toy so everybody likes him, but he was pretty much a failure at everything he did, at least in the Marvel run, which was always my canon.

The Sgt Savage buck is amazing. Hasbro should have thrown more sculpting resources at it and kept it up with Toybiz and McFarlane. Holding one for the first time (Thanks Dirty South Meetup), I have to say I am quite impressed.
Send me your Sgt Savages! With some green stuff sculpting they can be made into something special I think. |

1. I love the 1987 movie, and always have. Mostly because my second exposure to GI Joe was in 1990, when I was five years old and I rented GI Joe the Movie from a local video rental shop. My first exposure was watching a rerun of the Revenge of Cobra miniseries, and the 1987 movie seemed so much better.
2. I think Sgt. Savage had big potential, especially in 1995 when WWII was a big part of the public consciousness on account of all the 50th anniversaries of big WWII events. But changing the scale of the toys squandered that potential. Just imagine fairly accurate o-ring WWII soldiers and vehicles. |
