Straight arm Rock n'Roll, Zap, Breaker, Snake Eyes and the RAM all in the same batch, but Rock n'Roll was always my favorite and considered my first.

I can't remember my first figure - the most clear and distinct first memory I have was when my parents bought me Monkey Wrench - I had to be 4 or 5 years old.

Christmas 82? 83?
I got a bunch of stuff that year and as memory serves it was mostly thru JC Penney catalog. So I ended up with the three packs of all straight arms... -Flash -Rock n Roll -Grunt And while I've never seen any documentation of a Cobra JCP set...I am certain I got one as well, because I got... -Cobra Commander -Cobra Officer -Cobra Trooper In a similar 3 pk all straight arm. I also got that same year The VAMP, HAL and MMS, so that means, Clutch, Grand Slam, and Hawk. Clutch was the only swivel arm of the entire 9 figure I got so I'm assuming this was Xmas of 83, with a lot of stock left over from 82. BUT it's hard to say exactly as Mom often bought stuff ahead of time so its POSSIBLE she nicked a lot of this in 82 and held it til Xmas 83, or it simply was on the edge of the swivel arm change over. |

My first GI Joes were, no joke, Zarana & Zandar. It was 1986, and my grandmother had got them for me. Never had Zartan though.
