Most sentimental; probably Tiger Force Lifeline, an odd choice. I was about 12 yo and my dad had been bugging me about how I should be too old to still be playing with toys. I had a few close friends but tended to be a loner. One week I had been home sick from school and my dad came home from work one evening and had stopped at a nearby drug store and bought the TF Lifeline. I was never into sub teams or repaints, but that gesture meant a lot. I still have him too.
Best find was probably when I went to a comic con near Charlotte when I was in college. I had brought $60 and found a carded Crimson Twins for $55. I still have that one as well. |

Fun thread. Enjoy reading these.
Probably my most sentimental one is my "Red Ninjas" from 1992. It's the only original Joe figure of mine I still have that hasn't been replaced. I found him up in my parent's garage right around when the 25th line came out. Still have the axe too. |

I LOVE some of these stories. It's so great to hear how much G.I. Joe means to everybody.
I guess my most prized figure would be the original Tiger Force Duke. Duke's always been my favorite, but I was never able to get a figure of him until the Tiger Force line came out. |

My original straight arm Snake-Eyes. He was the first Joe I ever got. I had him before I ever found the comic anywhere, so I didn't know he was "silent" at first. I got him after being down sick for almost a week. Mom grabbed him to help cheer me up. While both his thumbs are broke I go back and forth on whether to fix him/buy new arms. Just the way he is, is still good for me since I have newer versions of the same figure to use for displaying. Still has his original Uzi, but lost the explosives pack somewhere. I still remember all the times I got any of the OG13. Love those memories.

My 2 favorites is my Star Brigade Armored Duke, because he was my only Duke from the original line when I was a kid and had a rocket arm (Cobra could never stand against him, but the only vehicle he could fit in was the backseat of the Ninja Combat Cruiser!) My second favorite Joe is my Walmart Repro Action Soldier that my dad got me when I was younger because he grew up with one. I liked him alot because he was different from the other Joe's and had really cool gear. He also got me into collecting a few other 12 inch Joes (including some from the 70's)
My most prized is my V1.5 C.C. It has almost no silver paint left and tooth marks on the helmet cause I used to chew on it while watching TV. His joints are crazy loose and and one his hands is missing at the wrist. It was not my first figure but definitely my most well loved. I'm pretty sure my wife is going to bury him with him with me. |

You still are a kid, buddy. Glad you hang out with us old timers though, the only armor techs I could justify getting as a kid were ROBO Joe and the BAAT. The other guys trading in their arms for rockets wasn't working for me.

I have nothing left from my childhood.
These are great stories.

I had a very similar experience with the '86 Hawk- and lost his pistol within minutes in the back seat of the car, never to be seen again.

In general: Valor vs. Venom Ninja Battles Box set. First new Joe toy my parents bought for me. Still have like 95% of it.
For ARAH: V1 Storm Shadow. Hand-me down from a cousin. Beat to hell. Loose joints and yellow as all get-out. Zero accessories. He's been virtually everywhere with me. |
