For the past 4 months I have been looking in to Warhammer after my curiosity got the better of me. And I have found it to be a really cool universe. It has made me want to mix parts of it in with my Joeverse, and I have been working on some Imperium inspired vehicles for Cobra. And I also think some of the ideologies would mix well.
The main ideology I think would be cool if it went from Warhammer to GI Joe would be Serpentor as the Emperor of Man, and make all of the Cobra troops crazy zealots determined to die for their god-emperor Serpentor. The second thing that I think would be cool if implemented in Cobra is the Impirium's way of fighting battles. They just send as many troops as it takes to win a battle no matter the cost (from what I have heard in videos). And if Cobra did this along with making the troops religious zealots, the Joes would have a very tough job indeed. But my question is would this work? And what would you think if Cobra/Serpentor was more like this? |

I don't mean for Hasbro to do it exactly, but more of a fan thing. But if Hasbro did do it they could probably get away with it as long as it is not a direct rip off. The military zealot thing has always existed in history, so I don't think GW could do much about it. And I do not think that a company can copyright a military tactic, so I think Hasbro could also get away with that too. And GI Joe is not grim-dark/Gothic which I think would make it even harder for GW to make a big deal out of it, since it is not exactly stealing ideas from them.

To be fair, they did try to do it with Cobra La.
And then, you can't really do it in a tasteful manner anymore after 9/11. Toywise though, I planned on coverting some broken vehicles dedicated for the Chaos Gods. CC sent some troops into portals and came back 'different'

While I personally wouldn't care much for Hasbro to draw any influence from other properties (even though that's essentially what ALL action figure companies have always done), I WOULD like to see fully articulated 1/18 Warhammer figures. I'm not a gamer unless it involves a SNES controller, but those miniatures have always had great designs.
No more or less than making the Joes, say, more "Avengers" like, or drawing influence from some random obscure Galoob line would be...

There's a 6in articulated Space Marine figure coming later in the year. Two versions:

Lol..just had a goofy idea. Alpharious and Omegon being Xamot and Tomax. I know it wouldn't work, but it made me chuckle.

"Fortnite" definitely exists because of love for G.I. JOE. The original 4-or-so characters looked exactly like Duke, Scarlett, Stalker (with dreads) and Firefly.

Funny you say that Because Call duty on platform and mobile have a lot more Joe and Cobra Inspired characters now. IMO look more real and less cartoony like the fortnite guys
