ok, I think we are straying off topic again. P)~
I agree we need to keep with a level of almost realism. It really makes it more fun to play with a line that could be real even if it isn't. As another observation, if we are going to call it a top seceret orginization than keep the joe team small and don't follow the cartoon and have everyone and there brother know about them. |

If the transformers movie is any indication, there are a lot of fans all with different ideas as to what GI Joe is.
While realism is a key to make a really good movie, it is also something that may kill a Joe movie for international release and honestly if I wanted to watch a film with guys in army fatigues I would watch <insert army movie here> and be done with it. I want a Movie that showcases the individual members and their personality just like the cartoon and comic's did. I want individual uniforms to reflect the figures role in the joe team and I want techno-advances vehicles that may or may not make sense in the real world. I want a Cobra force that is believable threat, but also a little bit over the top (not cobra law...). I also want Ninjas and Dreadnoks. Unfortunately, I don't want an America is great kind of movie. I think that there has been some great muti-national characters that could be used and still create an entertaining movie that would appeal to a world audience. just my two cents... |

Good character development is a must. I am sure most of you were shocked back when you were young seeing how Snake Eyes was actually ties to Storm Shadow's origin. For 20+ issues he was just the mute mysterious commando. Throw Stalker's detective work in the mix and you realize the guy is tied to Storm Shadow from way back. And even then the guy was still a mystery. Its stuff like that that makes the original comic enjoyable. Interweaving plot and origins tied into the central story. It ties Zartan and Cobra Commander as well as Firefly into the storyline.

i didnt think the whole cross animal/human dna was that far fetched. we use animal parts in humans now (pig heart aortas anyone?) so i dont see it as that far a stretch to mix dna. so that part of vvv i was personally ok with. heres one angle thats always bothered me. why cant they better the acuracy of the troopers and vipers shooting. that would make an interesting angle when the gi joes would actually have to try to dodge enemy fire cause if there not careful they will be hit. as far as vehicles i like realism too but as far as its not too far fetched (buzz boar lol) im ok with it. so i think we need a redo of cobra and his purpose. cold war angle isnt too bad an idea. we need a smaller group of gi joes with them maybe branching out to other lines of military for certain missions. that would open up new characters without expanding the gijoe group so much. and the bad guys need to improve there aim lol. i also would love to see a new cartoon based off the 25th to get kids into the 3 3/4 scale.

Putting the joes in danger zones where cobra has the edge makes for more exciting story lines and showing that joe is not invincible, and has a credible threat to fight against. I think this can get kids more into it. |
