Would the SCP foundation work in the GI Joe universe? I do not think every SCP would be able to coexist with the Joes as some of the SCPs are pretty out there, but the majority of the SCPs might be a cool addition.
For those of you who do not know what the foundation is, it is a publicly moderated wiki page where people make stories of anomalous objects that are secured contained and protected by the foundation (SCP: Secure, Contain, Protect). These anomalous objects can range from Bigfoot, to giant flesh infections, to a simple coffee machine. The foundation also has what they call "Mobile Task Forces" that try to secure SCP's. I think It would be cool if a small squad of a Mobile Task Force unit was stationed with the Joes just in case they ran into something. After all with Cobra as the enemy you never know what you are going to find. Also if anybody would like a better explanation of the foundation I suggest watching some YouTube videos as they may do e better job then I did here. Some of my favorite examples: SCP-3008 - SCP Foundation SCP-582 - SCP Foundation SCP-049 - SCP Foundation SCP-610 - SCP Foundation SCP-294 - SCP Foundation EDIT: Forgot to add my favorite SCP:http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1000 Pic one is the foundation logo, and the second and third photos are examples of a Mobile Task Force. Well, an episode comes to mind. But my memory is hazy. Didn't Destro keep a giant monster under his ancestral home? Or was it one of his ancestor's place?
The toyline also went to space and fought some aliens, does that count?

I have been working on creating some of my own SCPs, and have also been working on some GI Joe stories that would integrate the two together. I have also created some of my own SCP MTF troopers from the Marauder figures. I love the SCP universe. It is a unique cooperative that doesn't need to worry about canon or contradictory story arcs, because it is basically left up to the individual to decide what fits into their own version and what doesn't.
But yes, there is a lot of SCP elements that would readily fit into the GI Joe narrative, and vice versa. Whether you stick to the cartoons or the comics, both have plenty of weirdness that could be passed off as SCPs. Zartan could be a SCP. The Synthoids could definitely be a SCP. Anything Lovecraftian would work, which was one of the primary inspirations for Cobra-La. The Revanche robots and the giant eye from the IDW ARAH comics definitely fit the parameters. And if you're looking for some entertaining SCP-related material, Lord Bung's "Confinement" animated series is amazing. Look it up on YouTube.

Any information regarding “finds” by the G.I. Joe team could be passed on to the Military Intelligence Corps of the United States Army, and eventually might make its way to the attention of the SCP Foundation. I’m looking at this from Larry Hama’s Marvel comic stories point of view. It might be a different story from the “Fatal Fluffies” Sunbow animation setting point of view.

No, in my opinion the SCP Foundation could NOT have a small squad of a Mobile Task Force unit stationed with the G.I. Joes team (officially code named Special Counter-terrorist Group Delta) because the Joes are under operational control of the Joint Special Operations Command. National Command Authority (NCA) might prohibit the SCP Foundation from having members stationed with them.

However all that might work better in the cartoon version of the Joe verse instead of the comics. |

I'm confused. Is this a real life thing? Or is it just an imaginary unit on a message board? If it's real, what the heck do they need tactical teams for? And who authorizes that? And why have I never heard of this?
If it's all just internet make believe, disregard my other questions.

Ah ok. Then, considering it's someone else's baby, or a large group of people, I'd say incorporate it into your Joeverse if you'd like. The idea of a paranormal subteam in GI Joe would not be close to the weirdest thing Joe ever did.

Isn't the adventure team kind of a version of this? Hunting Yetis, Bigfoot, Mummies, Intruders, etc?
