Well I just do things like this....I chose whichever version of the character I like best....say Law...to me Law v1 is was and always will be Law. So now I have Sonic Fighters Law...who looks similar but differant enough that I can give myself an all new character...Perimeter, now we have Law v3 who looks NOTHING like v1 and v2, well I'll simply give him a new name as well.
My joe team is like 2X the size of the actual team, considering I've done this with a huge percentage of repaint figures including all the sub teams.

I was born without an imagination. I did undergo surgery to have an imagination transplant, but it didn't take.

You now what? Give me the classic version of the character first, or at least let me know I will indeed have it someday, then Hasbro can go and do whatever they like with anyone. Make Footloose a ten foot tall green lesbian chimpanzee with seven arms and twelve eyes. I really don't care. But it would be nice to have a modern version of the classic look, first. I want the characters I grew up with and loved...after that Hasbro can screw up characters as much as they want.
My issue with the new uniforms is that a) we didn't get the original incarnations in some instances (i.e. law, footloose, etc) and b)figures may have gotten multiple uniform changes in the past, but each time they we're different from figure to figure. They weren't the same exact uniform. What hasbro is doing is basically putting supposed new figure heads (which will more then likely turn out to be repaints of heads we have) on the same exact body with one or two accessories to set them apart. Not only is it boring, but its a rip off.

i kind of like the new desert pack, generic brand name zartan excluded. shouldnt the characters be the focus, not what they are wearing? if you love footloose the character, you shouldnt have that big of a problem with his new look. but whatevs, im looking forward to being able to pick up a store exclusive without a hassle.
also, footloose is reminiscent of claymore, who up until a few years ago i thought WAS footloose, haha |

I think this has been debated to death. My opinion is this. I want a full collection of 25th style Joes in their original style uniforms. Plain and simple. Do I hate the new uniforms? No. Do I think Hasbro shouldn't make them in new uniforms? No.
But it would be nice if they made the originals TOO! what is so WRONG with wanting the originals? I'm sure that sounds harsh to fanboys of the anniversary line. But the fact of the matter is that ROC and Resolute are so much more relevant and hip, that it doesn't even make sense to produce any other figures from that era. At least not at the expense of newer, updated iterations.
