Absolutely. The problem is, re-inventions are risky. I am looking at you Channing Taint Duke. I loved the figure of Ultimate Duke, but it wasn't exactly Duke. Re-inventions the way Sideshow did were cool, albeit out of my price range. I think I am just rambling here, maybe I just don't trust re-invention as much right now after the latest GI Joe comic "re invention"

I'd settle for one or the other, but in a perfect world, it'd be both. I'll be happy enough if they're fully articulated, 1/18, and look normal enough.

As far as reissued, I always got the idea that they'd already "blown their wad" in regards to mold availability in the 97-00s redecos, hence some of the figures like the Alley viper and regular Vipers not having the correct legs/waist, etc. From what I've heard, most of the old tooling was lost, discarded, etc, but of course, I'm no expert. That doesn't mean I wouldn't buy said reissues again though!

To be honest, I think o rings and 25ths both look wonky to modern standards

BUT! due to the softer plastic, modern figures are very, very annoying to "gear up". especially when they come with gear not specifically designed for the specific figure. Also, the added points of articulation aren't very worthwhile if they're semi loose right off of the card. To me, moderns look amazing, but aren't as well designed as they could be. Now, what's odd, is that despite how hideous they looked, and the fact that they sometimes used the softer plastics, that's generally not an issue with the "new sculpts"; their hands were designed to properly hold accessories, and the joints seem to have aged well. They're ugly, and I sure don't want them, but at least they were practical. Pros and cons to everything.
