Hello All,
So you can understand the volume.....The basement is packed. The totes go 4 back, 7 high and 14 totes wide....That is just one side. The Corner is 12 deep of 12" figures and 8 wide X seven rows high. 672 X 3= 2,016 X ???. Also, racks and racks of joe vehicles and smaller 3 & 3/4" joes I got more info about this collection....there are early Joes that are very valuable. Acc to my Mom my dad collected Joes for the son he never had. My mom said it became an obsession. He paid thousands just to have a certain one to complete his sets. I would really like to talk to someone that could help me figure out what I have and what to be on the lookout for. **There is no room to take good quality pics because boxes are stacked everywhere. Thanks- GI Jane Last edited by GIJane; 10-20-2019 at 07:19 PM.. |

WOW! You got a fortune on your hands. I no longer collect 12" Joes, but when I did, many of those figures sell for upwards of $50.

I'm not a 1/6 collector but I've been to Joelanta which was a primarily a 1/6 Joe toy convention. Here is a sponsor that mainly sells 1/6 scale stuff. You can talk to them about your collection. Heck, they may have known your father.
Cotswold Collectibles https://www.gijoeelite.com Here is the page for Joelanta. https://www.joelanta.org/contact You can email the person listed under the contests section. He sells 1/6 scale Joe's. If you search the site, there is a full vendor list. You can try and contact them too. Hope this helps.

Depending on the contents, "Fate of the Trouble Shooter" and "Secret of the Mummy's Tomb" could be significant items because they were issued in the early 1970s. You also have some off-brand sets from the 70s that might be of interest to collectors from that era. Otherwise, talking to Cotswold Collectibles is a very good idea.
