Yep. I remember one of the kids had a chromed out M-16 cap gun. Real well made toy but stuck out like a sore thumb being all chrome. We called it the “dead giveaway”. We’d be like “whose gonna use the dead giveaway?”

-Megatron -a souvenir pirate gun replica from my one and only trip as a kid to Disneyland (I used it as a "Flint gun"...not as in flintlock, but like Flint's sawed-off shotgun haha) -a broken .50 cal toy missing the entire barrel (replaced with a broom handle) that a friend found somewhere -just broom handles -the odd handy stick -some handmade wooden rifle thing that was supposed to shoot rubber bands, but all it really did was sting your fingers. -an actual single-shot .22 rifle that was seized up and missing the trigger -a "detective special" snub-nose revolver cap gun (that didn't work as a cap gun). -a shit-ton of cheap, bargain-aisle clear plastic water pistols that never lasted long. The one "rich kid" in our group had some really cool fake guns, but he Bogarted them like rich people do and ran around like a little bowl-haircutted Chuck Norris, carrying more fake firepower than the rest of us put together. We hated that kid. Last edited by SmokeBellew; 07-11-2019 at 03:19 PM.. Reason: Autocorrect snafus. |

lol Being a bunch of poors who had to chose between action figures or fake guns, we used whatever was handiest. This included:

I remember after Flint came out, I grabbed an old BB gun my dad picked up at a yard sale and sawed off the barrel to try and match his weapon.

Flint is the man. I remember playing with Joes at my cousin’s summer home in Cape May, NJ. I would put Endor Han Solo’s trenchcoat on Flint. I thought it made him look more bad-ass then he already was.
