With our family growing and house shrinking my wife and I have been discussing other options for my collection aside from the bedroom it currently occupies. While I am far from sold, the leading option at the moment is buying a shed or 2 for the yard. This would be ideally for 2-3 years until we could add on or move. Realistically it could be until 2 of the children move out the second oldest currently being 6. Here near Seattle we have hot summers and cold winters, pretty decent extremes. To protect from the temperature and insects, what should I consider aside from insulation and drywall?

If you're sealing them in bins, I'd try my best to get airtight containers and put in plenty of dessicant so as to avoid mold. That would take care of everything other than temperature issues. Not sure what else to recommend.

EDIT: Also, maybe put in some baking soda to capture any odor that may crop up?
