1. IG-88 12" vintage Kenner...I had this one, the rarest of them. He was so cool, but his limbs did get loose.
2. GI JOE 12" Adventure Team Talking Commander: it was my cousin's. "I've got a tough assignment for you!" What other toy challenged kids in such a manner? 3. 12" Kenner Boba Fett, my brother had this one...so cool, until the leg broke. 4. MOTU Modulok, I liked rearranging the parts. 5. Duke V1, smiling face and all. His only flaw was how easily his crotch breaks. He was the best "free" mail-in they made. Sorry, Cobra Commanders. |

Love these type of lists. Here's my top figures:
#1: Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker- the only Luke I had back in the day. Thought it was so cool he came with a lightsaber and the Palace guard blaster, plus the cloak was neat. Honorable mention to the R2-D2 with Sensorscope. Bet I went through five of them because the sticker wore off... #2: Battle Armor He-Man- I was (and still am) a huge MOTU fan, predating GI Joe and Star Wars for me. This figure was the neatest thing ever, and I played with it so much I used up two of them back in the day. #3: ARAH Lt. Falcon- I had a lot of Joes back in the day, but none of the "leaders" like Duke, Hawk, or Flint. When I got this dude, he became the leader of my squad of dudes because I didn't really know how the grades worked in GI Joe. #4: Soundwave- I didn't have a lot of Transformers, but I did have Soundwave. He was awesome. Was so glad to have him since I could never find Prime or Megatron. #5: ARAH Wet Suit- I always loved the naval Joes, and probably because I had Beachhead and the Devilfish, I needed Wet Suit too because of the box art. Greatest cross sell ever! Well played, Hasbro. |

1) Magnetic Bat-Man (Always wished for Magnetic Spidey as well)
2) Some super tiny yellow Spidey figure that came with a tube of Spider Web Glue stuff. (He was supposedly sucked up on cleaning day, but I never found it after taking vacuum apart) 3) 24" Shogun Warriors! I was able to get Gaiking. The one with the horns on the side of his head and skull/face on torso. (The spring loaded fist launcher proved hours of pet/sister/neighbor annoying fun!) 4) Any of the 3-3/4" Figures of the late 70's-80's. There was Bat-Man, Spider Man, Dukes of Hazard, CHiPs, A Team...etc 5) Any of the Marvel Secret Wars! line, or DC's Super Powers line. (I had both Spideys, Wolvie, Doc Ock, Baron Zemo, and Cap. DC I had Bat Man and Flash. Squeeze his arms together and his legs moved lol) |

There are so many great figures it’s hard to say one is the best. I have a hard time wildling down a top 10, but if I had to choose one GI Joe as the best, I’d say SDCC Zarana would be in my running.
