If I had a top ten of favorite action figures from across the board, then Cobras would probably fill most of the spots. I might squeeze in a TVC rocket-firing Boba Fett or a POTF2 Vader with removable helmet, but Joe toys are, IMO, far beyond Star Wars, Transformers, MOTU, TMNT or any other line.
The detail, the blend of realism and sci-fi, the amount of accessories and backpacks and weapons and helmets, the card art and file cards, the large and small vehicles... perfect toyline. Last edited by Cobra Agent 66; 03-09-2019 at 05:55 PM.. |

I see that Storm Shadow has many admirers. But then again, this is not a classification of GI Joe and Cobra, but of the whole Action Figures universe. So I like the answer of the user Deanhp that the number four has put the G1 Optimus Prime .... along with a crowd of cobras ....

I have a soft spot for the Remco Universal Monster figures. For 1979, the likeness was excellent. I look at the Mummy figure and yep, it's Boris Karloff.

Trap Jaw is really super cool! It is a real shame that his counterpart Big Jim (Iron Jaw) was not produced at the time and remained just a dream.
The one below is a custom made by a collector here in Italy that unfortunately I do not know.

Here's my top 5 action figures in no particular order:
ML Cable (Sasquatch wave) 25th SE and SS comic pack (these were my 1st Joes-yes I'm not an 80s kid) '93 Ninja Force Bushido (my 1st vintage figure) Beachhead (pretty much any one) RoTS Anakin and I'll also throw 50th blue Dusty out there cause he is actually a really good figure for what he is but super underrated .
