I have been a long time buyer but just started selling. The same thing happened to me the last three things I have sold. I just called ebay and asked for the hold to be lifted. And it was within 24 hours, usually takes about 12 hours after I call.

I've had this happen. It usually occurs if there is a long period since the last time I sold something or sometimes just at random. Its obnoxious, but I put up with it because I don't need the money now and can't figure out an easier way to sell the odd item other than to list on eBay.

A bit disappointed by the fake bidders on eBay pushing up the price on Joe customs and modern era auctions lately. Seems to be a growing problem. Helps to block bidders with less than 10 feedback. Well, doesn't help the seller, they always benefit from higher prices, but certainly helps the real bidders.
