I have seen different types of small plastic containers for loose action figures.I am not sure where to buy them or which are the better ones,or if thats even the best way to store them.
I'm a long time comic collector, and only passively collected toys for display. Now I have found myself with an army of joes(new & old) and would like to keep them safe when not on display.Any advice would be appreciated. |

I am curious to hear this, too. I've always kept my figures in big duffle or zip-lock bags (suffice it to say, I'm not really anal about their condition), but I guess that's not the best thing. . .

I use zip lock bags so I can stuff extra figures in my GI Joe lunch box.
I also have a couple acrylic display cases. It fits 18 figures per case. It's a bit expensive but it's nice and you can even hang it on a wall. The case will say have enough dividers so you can display pocket helmets but if you take a few out, action figures will be able to fit. On ebay it's Item#330092205632 Last edited by CG76; 11-26-2007 at 02:34 PM.. |

When not on display I use small sandwich ziplock bags. Nothing fancy.

CG76, I edited your post, we can use direct links from ebay now
www.Wholesalecases.com has single figure blister cases here: http://www.wholesalecases.com/star-w...figureblisters If you scroll up or down down from that page you can find Star cases, Figure stands, acrylic cases like AFA uses, single loose figure tubes, and 24 figure display cases Me however, for the time being I've been storing my loose figures in these: |

I found cases similiar to the ones pictured above that were the perfect size for 9 Joes and accessories at the Hobby Lobby (an arts and crafts store). They were orininally like $6 but at one point they were on sale for around $2 each. They are stackable, and keep them well protected. The name of the cases are Craft Design Storage Case, by AKRO-MILS and they have a website www.akro-mils.com
These things are cheap and they work great, they also store well and don't take up too much room. The best part is you can put figures away all geared up, and take them out ready to display. |

Like a couple of previous posters, I use plastic "fishing tackle" trays. Made by Plano, each tray is perfect for holding a dozen figures @ 3.99 Each. Available @ WalMart in fishing ailse.
