When i was younger i was playing with Scoop at the playground behind my house and i buried him somewhere and i remember going home for some reason.and i was thinking i know where he is buried so i can get him later. well i was never able to find him i remember my mom and my younger brother spent hours trying to find him.
i could go to that playground today and probally dig up a ton of my old action figures. i dont know why i always had to bury my figures i was never able to find them again after i buried them

Speaking about the 82 straight arm Snake Eyes.I put him on my fischer-price parachute in 1985 and threw him as high as I could on a windy day,the tree won.
Don't know how but 3 yrs ago,yes 3 yrs ago!! My mom had the tree removed and SE was found, still in good condition!! There are no words that can describe how I felt!! |

I can think of 3 of these stories from my childhood.
While playing in the newly developed housing lot behind my house, I unearthed a Flint figure, which was buried in the mud next to a large puddle. I ddn't have the figure, and was very excited, and of course toar up the area looking for more. To this day I still have the figure, and surprisingly he's in great shape. While at school during recess during grade 4 or 5, I found a huge graveyard of Joe parts inside a hole near the base of the pole that supported one of the basketball hoops. I remember trying to put them back together, but many were missing parts. I think Scarlett, and a Snow Viper who had a broken thumb, were the only complete figures. There was at least the remains of 10 figures. Lastly I use to go up to the third floor in my house, and dump my bucket of Joe's out the window. My cousin and I would then spend hours searching the lawn for the aircrash victims. Around a year after we had stopped doing this, my father came in from mowing the lawn, and handed me Footloose. He had some paint wear, but he was intact, and still is in my collection. On a side note the event that stopped us from throwing stuff out the window, was when I launched my Sky Striker, and snapped one of the tail fins off. I almost feel weak thinking about this now. |

Just bumping this thread. By far the most entertaining one I've read on The Tank in a long time. Keep it going!

It was 1989 and I was walking home from my friend's house and I looked down on the ground and found Tiger Force Duke!!! I didn't have any Joes at the time and my friend didn't have him so he tried to trade me 4 or 5 figures for him. I kept Duke until I moved out of state. When I went to walmart one day and noticed the 25th line, I went to mom's house and up in the attic was a box of old joes. I opened it up and Duke was there looking right at me. All my feelings about Joes came rushing back and they will never leave my sight again.
