Trying to rebuild is a challenge. eBay prices are absolutely stupid nowadays, and being that there’s nothing at retail, this leaves very few options. Two of those were exhausting today. First, there is the toy shows. There is a promotion company called “Inside Pitch” that promotes shows in the Carolinas that had one in Charlotte today. They had almost nothing. The second, the collectibles shops, were a complete bust. I need figures. There’s got to be something this side of Chattanooga that can help me out without requiring the sale of a kidney. Very frustrating. Come on 2020!

Yeah ebay has been a bit out of hand for a little while now. I too miss the good ole days of hunting in the wild but alot of that in my area has dried up as well. I still get lucky finds every now and again at yard sales and flea markets but even with those some people just think they have gold or something and prices can be really inflated. Honestly I have found the most luck on here in the BST section. I find that there are still a lot of people on here that are willing help out without taking your wallet.

Post your wants on the BST page. You probably can get some pretty good deals on here. Link that BST thread to your signature. That way, it's easier to find.

Yeah, I need to start a want list. I just have a feeling that Hasbro is making the Joe fans salivate for new product and is going to lower the boom like they did with the 25th line. That would have gone on forever had it not been for those revision cases Walmart put out that kept the later waves of the line in limbo. I'm so ready for 2020. Let’s hope the next movie blows everyone away.

That's interesting about Inside Pitch. When they put on a toy show in Raleigh, there are usually a lot of Joe sellers, and they're reasonably priced for the market.

Websites like smalljoes, guru-planet, bigboycollectibles, and bigbadtoystore have been great for me. I have had a lot of success at toy shows as well, but it's really hit and miss. Star Wars and Transformers are always in plentiful supply, but you never know with G.I. Joe...

Was at that toy show as well. There was one guy I visited that had a tiny selection of Joes. Picked up a vintage vamp complete and found a straight arm clutch and a cover girl with a scarlet waist in a baggie.

Blayze, did you happen to check out rebel base comics and toys in Charlotte? When I lived there that was my go to spot.
That is a shame to hear about the Charlotte show. I have always wanted to check out either the charlotte or greensboro show. I have gotten several good deals at the local wilmington show in october even though it is small. |
