I was think about these two groups; Battle Force 2K and Sigma 6.
They both use high tech weaponry, gear, & armor. I'm wondering how they could fit in a GI Joe universe; 2 different teams with different mission objectives, One is subordinate of the other, One is R&D while the other is practical field application. So I'm curious, how do these guys work in your universe? Or do they exist all because they are too (insert adjective). |

I don't have Sigma Six in the same way they are portrayed in the Cartoon, but I do have Hi-Tech in my Joeverse. However, I have an expanded Battle Force 2K team which includes all the sort of more Sci-Fi Joes, Hazmat, Laser and Flamethrowers. My Flamethrowers are all Heavy Laser (plasma) weapons.
But in the end I sort of have two teams similar to what you are laying out. An ASSAULT team which has most of the BF2K guys, some steel brigaders, and guys wearing the ROC Delta-6 suits. They test out body armor and weapons. And then an Engineers team that does a lot of the RD and Heavy Equipment testing. Battle Research Special Weapons Force: General Lawrence J. Flagg (O-8) Juggler/Handler (NOT DEAD!) General Rey (O-7) Roving Regional Commander Colonel Henry Jones Jr. (O-6) Deputy Roving Regional Commander (Materials Research) Colonel Mike Powers (O-6) (Vehicle Technology) Jane Ann Martelle (O-5)(Computational/Information Sciences) Boffin (O-5) (Weapons Research) Air Support: Wild Cat (O-4) (USMC)(extra Ace) Space Shot (O-3) Free Style (O-3) Assault Team: Steel Brigade Commander (O-4) "Ironhide" (he needs a codename) Gears (O-3) Mechanical Research Brainstorm (O-3) Sensors and Electron Devices Super Trooper (O-2) Matt Trakker (CW-5) Master Chief John (E-9) Dodger (E-7) Backstop (E-6) Blocker (E-6) Steel Brigade "D" pilot (E-6) Steel Brigade "D" Driver (E-5) Knockdown (E-5) Blaster (E-5) Barricade (E-5) (Delta-6) Six-Gun (E-5) (Delta-6) Speed Metal (E-5) (Delta-6) Kiwi (E-4) (Delta-6)(AF) Dee-Jay (E-4) Blast-Off (E-4) Robo-Joe (E-4) Steel Brigade Squad x8 STARK Industries Battle Robot Engineers Team: Psyche-Out (O-4) Psychological Research Carla Greer (O-3) Medical Research Sparks (O-3) Glenda (WO-2) SGM Richard "Brawn" Cecil (E-9) Mercer V2 Doubleblast (E-8) Hot-Seat (E-7) Mainframe (E-7) Armadillo (E-7) Grand-Slam (E-7) Blowtorch (E-6) Flash (E-6) Sight-Line (E-6) (Might move to Airborne team?)
